New Years Eve 2003
Time for a New Years Eve report. I’ll try to hit the highlights to the best of my recollection.
Tuesday [1:23 pm] The theme for New Years was what Jess described as “creative black tie”. Anotherwards, dress up in funny black and white costumes. At least that’s how I interpreted it. After spending almost 3 hours making my duct tape jacket and electric tape necktie, I had my costume ready to go. All that was left was to decorate my house for the night.
Tuesday [7:05 pm or so] Jess came over with lots of decorations and ideas, followed by the arrival of Steve and Shannon. Hours were spent painting, gluing, and hanging things as well as some shopping in between. We decided to give up and crash around 2 or so.
Wednesday [4:15 pm] Jess came back over with more decorations and candlesticks for me to paint. She did an excellent job picking them out too; I almost wish I bought them.
Wednesday [8:12 pm] The night started a little slow. A good majority of the crowd showed up about 8:30 or so, but they definitely didn’t come empty handed. We had an abundance of various beverages, taquitos, and candy. I could tell this evening was going to be a fun one.
Wednesday [9:34 pm] All of my chairs were full. There was actually a bigger crowd than I expected, but it was great. Can you tell I’m having fun?
Wednesday [10:03 pm] Someone was a little too hyper around this time, and that someone was me. All I know is that it wasn’t the only one acting weird.
I have no time when this happened, but it’s definitely worth posting.
Thursday [around 1 am i think] No better way to end the night with a rousing game of Twister. I’m guessing we at least played 5 rounds with pictures courtesy of Trucker Dave (thx bro).
Well, that was pretty much the whole night despite that we had a fireball candle flying through the air and coconuts being broken apart on my wall. I want to thank everyone that helped set up, bring stuff, eat my stuff, and clean up, especially Jess since she put so much effort into decorating.

greg heard cindy say... January 2nd, 2004 14:33 pm
i am a 70s porn star.
cindy January 2nd, 2004 15:20 pm
hmmmm … cindy heard it from someone else and passed it on (discreetly) to one person. that one person then … (and i’m thinking this had something to do with the coconut rum or it could have been the pickles) … passed it on to several more people. those other people ran with the idea.
by 11PM, greg had theme music and some great lines, which actually, someone should have written down because he could probably put them to good use with the ladies.
and, here’s the thing greg, at least no one was calling you hefner.
